Arrive in Sri Lanka, where representatives of Red Apple Travels will greet you and transfer you to Colombo (approx. 1-hour drive). Begin your journey with a panoramic city tour of Colombo, exploring both its vibrant commercial districts and the elegant tree-lined avenues of Cinnamon Gardens. Discover the historic Fort area, once a British administrative hub, and visit Sea Street—the bustling goldsmiths’ quarter in Pettah. Continue to the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal (built in 1749), a beautifully preserved colonial structure, and marvel at the replica of the Avukana Buddha near the BMICH and the serene Independence Square. Later, indulge in a shopping experience at ODEL Unlimited, offering designer apparel and culinary delights. Overnight stay at a hotel in Colombo.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed towards Kandy (approximately a 3.5-hour drive). En route, visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, established in 1975 to shelter abandoned and injured elephants. Today, it houses over 65 elephants, including calves born through its successful captive breeding program. The best times to visit are during feeding (9:30–10:00 AM and 1:30–2:00 PM) and bathing (10:00–10:30 AM and 2:00–2:30 PM), when the elephants are taken to a nearby river. Continue the journey with a stop at the Pinnawala Open Zoo and explore a traditional Spice Garden, where you can learn about Sri Lanka’s aromatic treasures. Later, head onward to Kandy for an overnight stay at a hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the expansive Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden, spanning 147 acres and originally established in 1374 as a royal pleasure garden. The garden houses over 4,000 species of trees, plants, and creepers, including rare and endemic flora, along with popular spots like the Spice Garden, Orchid House, and the iconic Palm Avenues—such as the Royal Palm Avenue planted in 1905. Next, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, which has safeguarded the Buddha’s tooth since the 4th century A.D. and is considered Sri Lanka’s most treasured religious artifact. Explore a Gem Gallery showcasing some of the world’s finest gemstones, including sapphires, rubies, cat’s eye, and more, with opportunities to learn about gemology and purchase tailored jewelry. Conclude the day with a vibrant Kandy Cultural Show. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kandy.
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Nuwara Eliya, a scenic drive of approximately 2.5 hours. En route, visit the stunning Ramboda Falls and a local Tea Factory, followed by a stop at the Ramboda Hanumanji Temple. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, often called the ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, enjoy the picturesque hill country surrounded by mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and tea plantations. Known for its cool climate reminiscent of an English spring day, Nuwara Eliya showcases British colonial charm with country cottages and Queen Anne-style mansions. Take time to relax at Victoria Park, a lovely spot for strolling, picnics, and birdwatching, home to some rare species. The town’s seasonal flowers bloom in spring (March to May) and fall (August to September), attracting visitors escaping the coastal heat. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure at your hotel. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast at the hotel, explore the scenic beauty of Nuwara Eliya starting with a visit to Gregory Lake, where you can enjoy a relaxing boat ride. Next, visit the Seetha Amman Temple and the nearby Ashoka Vatika, both significant sites linked to the Ramayana epic. Continue your day with a stroll through the lush Hakgala Botanical Garden and spend some time at Victoria Park, perfect for birdwatching and leisurely walks. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Yala, a journey of approximately six hours. In the evening, embark on a thrilling Yala National Park Safari. Covering over 126,000 hectares, Yala is renowned for its diverse wildlife including large herds of elephants, elusive leopards, spotted deer, sambhur, crocodiles, mongoose, wild boar, wild buffalo, and more. The park is also home to over 130 bird species, both residents and migratory visitors. The safari, lasting about two hours by jeep, offers an unforgettable wildlife experience. Overnight stay at a hotel in Yala.
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Bentota, a drive of approximately five hours. En route, visit the historic Galle Fort and enjoy some time at the nearby beach. Continue your journey to Bentota, where you can relax and unwind at your hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Bentota.

Visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, dedicated to the conservation of endangered sea turtles. Later, enjoy thrilling water sports such as jet skiing, banana rides, and tube rides on the beach.
